In Greece the sun shines most of the time and average temperature generally range around 25 to 30 degree Celsius. There are mainly three types of climates: Mediterranean, alpine and mid-European temperate climate. The Mediterranean climate is mainly found in the Athens, Crete and the Cyclades. In this climate the winters are generally mild and wet while the weather in the summers remain dry and hot, also this region is covered with snow sometimes with the occasional snowfall.

The central and the western Greece are covered with the alpine climate with the areas of western Macedonia and some of the parts of the Peloponnese. The mid-European temperate climate is mainly found in the areas of the eastern and central Macedonia and also in the many parts of the Thrace. The winters go cold and damp whereas the summers are warm and dry. You can find the snow everywhere in Greece except the islands. Spring and autumn form the transitional seasons when the Greece weather changes from day to day.

Karpathos is a beautiful mountainous, the most southern Greek island, with longest summer. Lovers of surfing and kiting here will find an ideal place, where does not run out of wind for their pleasures. In many of the bays are beautiful beaches which call for enjoyment.
Short description
Island Karpathos is across the length of its mountainous and many places are difficult to access. Rich is the newer Greek culture, especially the village of Olympos. Residue from the Greek antiquity is not much, just here and there a small shrine.

The island is beautiful and interesting, otherwise, some places are more difficult to access.
To view the village of Olympos chooses rather the organized trip, as the independent visit by car.
Anyone who is a lover of good food must visit a restaurant under the oak on the north coast of the island. In the city Pigadia (Karpatos) has some very good restaurants.
View the church in a cave in the north of the island is a laborious undertaking, which does not leave a large impression, with the exception of fatigue after strenuous walking.
I recommend at least one boat trip to the beautiful beaches, which are accessible only by sea.

Rhodes is one of the most popular destinations in Greece. Its beautiful beaches, a rich historical past and the diverse nature make Rhodes famous and Lindos is a pearl in the crown.
Short description
Rhodes is the largest island in the group Dodecanese. It is situated near the Turkish coast. Rhodes is dynamic island, predominantly green, with many traditional villages, which supply the city with vegetables and fruit.
What you can see in Rhodes
Medieval center of town with the street from the Cruise period and the castle.
Seven sources (other than the beautiful nature there is nothing special).
Lindos is a mandatory objective of each visitor to Rhodes.
The valley of butterflies, is very interesting to see, as in the one place you can see thousands of butterflies.
To view the entire Rhodes you need at least 3 days with a car. Distances are great, so a scooter is not recommended except for short distances.
View Lindos, fortification of acropolis it is also mandatory.
The trip by car around the island can be beautiful.
In addition to certain residues of fortresses, which are quite a few on the top of the mountains, I recommend viewing Old-Greek city Kamiros and see acropolis near the town of Rhodes.
Visit the valley of butterflies is very interesting, while viewing the seven springs, the tension in my opinion.
For good food, visit small streets, where you'll find it nice and cheap restaurants.

Ios is one of the Cycladic islands, some called him the "Island of Love." The island is mountainous. Due to their small size, it can be detected using the entire scooters. The main event is a night in Choren, the capital of the island. By the beaches is needed transportation.

Town Molyvos (Mithymna) is a beautiful place in the north of the island with an interesting tower and beautiful port around which are the restaurants with delicious food.
Also close to the monastery at Petra on the dial is a nice place.

Short description
Its name derives from Greek mythology. Corfu is located in the Ionic Sea and is the most northern island in Greece. The island is largely mountainous. On the island are many interesting beaches. The old town of Corfu town is under UNESCO protection.
A little history of Corfu
Corfu was inhabited in the Bronze Age. 734 B.K, Corinthians occupied the island, and they built the city Analipsi and acropolis. Slowly it became an important commercial center of Corfu. They became so strong that they resist Corinthians, and became independent. After the war between Sparta and Athens and the victory of Sparta, Corfu came under Sparta administration. Later, they were occupied by Syracuse, until they came under Roman administration. Under Byzantine they started building a new consolidated city that can resist attack of Normans. In 1204 the Venetians occupied the island, which remained until 1797. Then, the French occupied the island, which after two harvests defeat the Russians. But the French were willing to waive Corfu and the island occupied again for the period 1807 to 1815, when the island for half a century occupied the British. Then join the island to Greece.

Halkidiki is situated in the north of Greece, on the map looks like three fingers. They are three famous Greek peninsulas, located near the city of Thessaloniki. Now it's been twelve years,since I was there with my girlfriend(now she's my wife) and I still cant forget beauty of the small island.
Samos is part of the North-Eastern Aegean Islands and is located in the southern part of the group, near the Turkish coast, from which it is separated by the narrow Mykale Straits.
